Custom Domains

Serve any endpoint on a hostname you own. Instead of handing Stripe hook-a1b2c3d4.otterkit.app, hand it hooks.your-company.com - a URL that lives in your DNS, carries an automatically-issued certificate, and never has to change. The .otterkit.app URL keeps working alongside it.

Attach one in two steps

1. Attach. Open the endpoint in the console and enter your hostname in the Custom domain card. 2. Point DNS at it. Add one CNAME record wherever the domain is hosted:

That's the whole job. Once the record resolves, the certificate is issued and renewed automatically - the card polls and flips to live, usually within a couple of minutes. Requests to your domain behave exactly like the native URL: answered 24/7, verified, stored, forwarded, replayable.

Details worth knowing

One domain per endpoint, and subdomains (hooks.acme.com) are the supported shape - an apex domain (acme.com) only works if your DNS provider supports CNAME flattening. Removing the domain from the console releases the hostname and its certificate immediately.

Custom domains are included - no extra charge while the feature is young. They pair naturally with always-on webhooks: a permanent URL on your own domain, capped at $3/month.
